Eminem Lights Up Thanksgiving With Jack White in Detroit

Eminem and Jack White turned the Thanksgiving halftime show into an unforgettable celebration for their Detroit fans.

The crowd roared at Ford Field as the duo, representing their home city, took the stage during the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game. Jack White, already amping up the atmosphere, surprised everyone by bringing his buddy Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, to the spotlight.

Performing his track ‘That’s How I’m Feeling’ from the latest album, White seamlessly transitioned to introduce Eminem. The announcement, ‘Ladies and gentleman, Detroit’s own… Eminem!’ was met with booming cheers, setting the stage for a riveting rock-infused performance of Eminem’s classic hit, ‘Till I Collapse.’

Eminem, not missing a beat, was accompanied by Mr. Porter from his D12 days, delivering his verse with the energy and precision fans love. The guitars and drums set the perfect backdrop, melding the rock and rap worlds in a unique way.

Post-performance, Eminem shared a moment of gratitude on Instagram, expressing his joy by posting a photo with White, Mr. Porter, and a heartfelt ‘Detroit thank u!!!’ making a lasting impression not just on the crowd but across social media.

Interestingly, this mix of music and sports wasn’t a one-off gig. Eminem took on the role of executive producer for the halftime show, working with his long-time manager Paul Rosenberg, under a new multi-year deal with the Detroit Lions. Their collaboration promises to bring in top talent and elevate the Thanksgiving Classic through 2027, blending sports and high-caliber performances.

Rod Wood, President & CEO of the Detroit Lions, expressed enthusiasm about working with Eminem and Rosenberg. He believes their partnership will turn these performances into notable cultural events on the NFL calendar, drawing in talent and attention alike.

Eminem and Jack White’s performance not only energized the Thanksgiving game but also set the tone for exciting collaborations in future events.
