On Father’s Day, Marquise Jackson called out his famous dad, 50 Cent, on social media with a cheeky twist. The younger Jackson took to Instagram, posting an AI-generated parody of a betting slip that symbolized his father’s alleged neglect.
In true social media style, Marquise added a caption that needled at the rapper: “Oh it’s father’s day. Happy father’s day to all the real ones. I’m watching my bet and it ain’t looking too good. I got the over. We all know this the day for photo ops. The day ain’t over yet. Finish strong… get on your job.”
Of course, 50 didn’t shy away from responding. He lashed back at Marquise, accusing him of being mixed up in a scam with his sister: “You little punk your momma got you and your sister scamming. Them people came to ask me some questions about it. I said I don’t fvck wit them, I’m a law abiding citizen.” It didn’t end there. 50 speculated that if they got caught, he’d be the scapegoat: “I bet they are gonna blame me when they get picked up for scamming PPP loans, they gonna say it was my fault they were broke.”
The father-son relationship has seen better days, with their issues previously becoming public spectacles. Marquise once slammed his dad over the $6700 monthly child support, claiming it was insufficient for New York City living. His father’s celebrity status, he argued, made it impossible to live just anywhere: “$6700 a month in the state of New York City? You do the math,” he said back in 2022. “$81,000 is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere. You talking about you got beef with everybody in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.”
Meanwhile, 50’s rebuttal on The Breakfast Club was equally sharp. He pointed out the age difference and expected responsibility from Marquise: “If you’ve mailed someone $1 million and they have zero respect for you, how much you think you gotta give ’em before they have a little bit? I don’t think the relationship works,” he said. Further probing the matter, he added, “You’re talking about a kid that’s not even a kid; he’s 25 years old. You know what my issue was at 16? They wanted to charge me as an adult then. So you look and you go, ‘When are you gonna figure it out?’”
The tension between 50 Cent and his son, Marquise, seems far from over. Their online exchanges reveal a complex relationship impacted by fame, expectations, and past grievances. Only time will tell if they can mend their differences or if this public saga will continue to unfold.
