Benny The Butcher is back in the spotlight, and not just for his music. His new track “Position of Power” has brought fresh heat to his feud with Freddie Gibbs. Benny throws shade at an incident in 2022 when Gibbs was jumped in Buffalo, having his chain taken in the process.
Freddie hasn’t clapped back yet, but he’s known for not holding back his opinions. Earlier this year, in March, he took shots at Benny in “The Big 2.” He didn’t mince words, bringing up Benny’s personal struggles and the 2020 shooting.
Their once-friendly collaboration turned sour in 2021 when Gibbs joked about Benny’s shooting. Things quickly deteriorated from words to physical confrontations, notably the Buffalo incident.
Despite the ongoing tension, Benny recently admitted he doesn’t hold a personal grudge against Gibbs; however, he insists that rekindling their friendship would make him look “goofy” to his fans.
