Freddie Gibbs can’t get enough of Clipse’s new album, ‘Let God Sort Em Out.’ Expressing his enthusiasm on The Joe Budden Podcast, Gibbs recounted how he reached out to Pusha T to praise the album, declaring ‘That shit hard my n-gga.’ His favorite track? ‘F.I.C.O.’ – a song that’s got him hooked right now.

During the podcast, Gibbs didn’t shy away from giving props to No Malice either. When Joe Budden noted ‘I keep saying Malice is my rapper of the year,’ Gibbs quickly agreed, suggesting that between himself and No Malice, they’re at the top of their game this year.

However, Gibbs has his gripes with today’s music scene, particularly when it comes to AI. In a conversation with The Ringer, he expressed frustration over artists relying on AI tools like ChatGPT to write their songs. He made his stance clear, stating, ‘I don’t even believe nobody that write […] Heart is dying and you got to ask a computer to write your lyrics, shit is wack.’

And in a lighter moment, Gibbs shared a story about some friction with Kanye West. Apparently, Kanye wasn’t thrilled when Gibbs’s verse on their collaborative track ‘Back to Me’ received more praise than his own. Gibbs, a self-proclaimed fan of Kanye, was surprised by the reaction, expecting his mentor to be proud instead.

Freddie Gibbs continues to blaze his own trail in the music industry, drawing inspiration from his peers while fiercely defending artistic integrity.
