It all started with a reported burglary at GloRilla’s house. As officers sifted through the chaos left behind, they stumbled upon what they described as a ‘significant amount of marijuana’ in a bedroom closet. Instead of finding the burglars, they charged GloRilla with possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.
Outraged by the turn of events, GloRilla took to social media to set the record straight. She made it clear: “CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects, they focus on some cannabis.” Her frustration was amplified when she added, ‘My house gets home invaded and I’m the only one that gets arrested. So that’s tea.’
Sheriff Ron Freeman responded by emphasizing the seriousness of the crime against GloRilla, stating, ‘The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice. At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.’ Meanwhile, GloRilla’s lawyer, Drew Findling, lambasted law enforcement for what he sees as twisted priorities. He voiced his disbelief and frustration at the allocation of resources, saying, ‘This is our tax dollars at work, absolutely unbelievable.’
GloRilla’s outspoken nature isn’t anything new. Recently, she had to pull the plug on a live performance in St. Louis because of violence in the audience. Despite trying to calm the crowd, she eventually had to call it quits, declaring, ‘We gotta end the show right here… It’s another muthafuckin’ fight. I love y’all. I don’t wanna do this, but we gotta make sure it’s safety first.’
