Kid Cudi Calls it Quits on Guest Features

Kid Cudi has taken a bold stand: his future albums won’t feature any guest artists. Expressing his sentiments on social media, Cudi declared, “No features, just me. Some people need features. Not me.”

Kid Cudi is clear about his artistic vision moving forward. He shared on social media that he’s distancing himself from collaborations unless they happen naturally. In his words, past collaborators haven’t always promoted their work together, leaving him feeling awkward.

Kid Cudi’s next album, titled “Free,” is set to release on August 22. This upcoming project marks a new chapter for him as he opts to keep it an entirely solo endeavor, and he believes he’s enough to keep listeners engaged without additional features.

While this decision captures attention, Cudi’s year has been eventful for other reasons too. He testified in a high-profile trial, where he accused Diddy of breaking into his home and harming his pet dog. Security footage failed to capture the incident as intruders reportedly tampered with his cameras.

The break-in left Cudi’s dog anxious and jumpy, and he expressed his desire to confront Diddy, even feeling the urge to fight him. Cudi lodged a police report following the incident and suspects Diddy was also behind setting his Porsche on fire, retaliating against Cudi’s relationship with Cassie.

The situation escalated when Diddy’s former assistant alleged that the music mogul once plotted harm against Cudi due to the same affair. This testimony stirred backlash from Kanye West and Young Thug, with the latter’s comments prompting Cudi to cut Young Thug’s verse from his album “Insano.”

With all the drama this year, Kid Cudi’s focus on producing solo work could be a grounding force. As his next album launches without guest features, fans will see a more personal side of Cudi, both in music and in life.
