Hot Boy Turk is gearing up for a legal battle against Cash Money Records after a dramatic exit from the group’s 30th anniversary tour.
Turk, a founding member of the New Orleans-based Hip Hop group, claims he was kicked off the tour over financial disagreements. Organizers allegedly asked him to accept a pay cut due to poor ticket sales, and upon refusal, he was swiftly issued a termination notice.
Turk took to Instagram to voice his frustrations, stating, “The same day I rejected less than what was owed, I got hit with a bogus termination notice. Instead of admitting they couldn’t pay fairly, they labeled me a threat.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Turk shared screenshots of emails citing his conflict with group member B.G. as another reason for his dismissal. These issues have spilled out into public view, fostering an environment of social media squabbles.
Despite the removal, Turk intends to pursue legal action against all parties involved in his exclusion from the tour, holding not only Cash Money but also the tour operators and the remaining Hot Boys accountable.
Since their reunion last year, the Hot Boys have faced numerous challenges. Although they announced a reunion tour, complications have surfaced, including Lil Wayne missing several shows.
Earlier this year, a quirky incident during a performance stirred concerns about Birdman’s health. A video clip showed the Cash Money mogul standing still on stage, seemingly asleep. However, B.G. clarified, “He was just reading the teleprompter, ya heard me? They just got him on a bad angle, and we had a good laugh about it for a week.”
Birdman’s public persona has been the subject of much speculation, but it’s all in good humor according to B.G., who reassures fans about his well-being. “Stunna ain’t never did no hard drugs. He always been strictly about the bag.” Meanwhile, Turk has also reassured fans not to worry about Birdman’s health.
Despite the drama, the group’s iconic status within the hip hop community remains strong, leaving fans hopeful for a resolution and a possible future collaboration.
While the Hot Boys face internal strife, the legal proceedings initiated by Turk add another twist to their saga. Whether this dispute will be peacefully resolved is yet to be seen.
