Tyler, The Creator Urges Fans to Enjoy His Music

Tyler, The Creator is challenging fans to savor his latest album, “Don’t Tap the Glass,” without premature judgment or analysis.

In a candid message on social media, Tyler expressed his frustration with the rush to critique. “Yall gotta stop doing this. everyone tho. it hasnt been 10 hours, just let it be what it is,” he shared on X. His album blends upbeat, braggadocious vibes with personal reflections, ranging from diary-like musings on life topics such as abortion and aging.

Released unexpectedly, “Don’t Tap the Glass” is Tyler’s shortest album yet, featuring only 10 tracks and 28 minutes of music. Interestingly, it includes uncredited cameos from Pharrell Williams and Baby Keem, adding a unique touch to the tracks.

However, one track, “Get Right,” featuring Doechii, is missing from the album. This track had previously made waves when performed at the Louis Vuitton’s fashion show in Paris. Despite its absence, Tyler’s admiration for Doechii is evident.

Sharing his discovery of Doechii on YouTube, Tyler recalled, “I came across Doechii… I was blown away.” His excitement led him to reach out personally, showing his support and appreciation for her artistry. When Tyler brought Doechii on stage during his Chromakopia world tour, he didn’t shy away from expressing his admiration, “I’m so happy she exists. We have to keep supporting everything she does. Keep supporting art.”

Tyler, The Creator’s call to enjoy his work without haste speaks to his broader message about appreciating art. In an age of instant judgments, he reminds fans to take a step back, listen, and simply enjoy the music.
