Young Thug Clears the Air on Snitching Rumors

Young Thug is at the center of controversy, denying accusations of snitching on his YSL associate after an audio leak from an interrogation went viral.

In the leaked audio, Young Thug mentions Peewee Roscoe but insists on social media that he was merely helping a ‘brada.’ He emphatically stated on X, ‘They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?’

This uproar is just one ripple in the ongoing YSL RICO case, where snitching accusations have been a recurring theme. Gunna, another central figure, faces similar allegations of cooperating with prosecutors, which both he and his lawyer deny.

The trial has strained the relationship between Young Thug and Gunna. When asked about it in a GQ interview, Young Thug’s response was vague. ‘I know everybody wonders [what our relationship is like now],’ he mused, but added, ‘I don’t know.’

Gunna, standing firm against the snitching allegations, cites that his plea did not affect Young Thug’s case. Gunna’s former lawyer, Steve Sadow, clarified, ‘Gunna did NOT cooperate… He spent 8 months in jail and was released after an Alford plea.’

Sadow further explained that Gunna’s plea wasn’t used in Thug’s trial. ‘He received a 5-year suspended sentence… AND NO PROBATION,’ Sadow emphasized, dismissing claims of Gunna harming Thug’s case.

Despite these explanations, the tension between the two rappers seems tangible. Thug has previously hinted at disapproval in lyrics, rapping ‘Never associate with a rat.’

Young Thug’s denial of snitching and the complexities of the YSL RICO case highlight the challenges faced by artists entangled in legal battles. The public and fans watch closely as the drama unfolds, speculating on the future for both Young Thug and Gunna.
