Ranking the 18 Best Andre 3000 Guest Verses of All Time

Hip hop has its fair share of GOAT feature rappers. Off the top of my head, there’s Busta Rhymes, the OG guest verse murderer, Nas, DMX, Jadakiss, Biggie, Method Man, just to name a few.

From the newer generation, you’ve got the likes of J. Cole, Kendrick and Drake who routinely steal the show from other artists. Of course, there’s Lil Wayne, perhaps the most iconic feature rapper ever, and Jay-Z, who’s been cementing his GOAT status based off features alone these past few years.

But when it comes down to it, the truth is, none of these rappers deliver a guest verse as impactful as Andre 3000. Every time the OutKast rapper steps out and blesses another artist with a verse, he shuts everything down. Articles pop up and Internet forums get flooded with people trying to dissect his usually cryptic rhymes.

From his scene-stealing appearance on UGK’s “International Players Anthem” to his more recent verse on Kanye’s “Life of the Party,” here are the 18 greatest Andre 3000 feature appearances of all time.

18. Kesha – “Sleazy Remix 2.0: Get Sleazier”

Album: N/A

Released: January 18, 2011

Producer: Bangladesh, Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco

We start out so cute in our baby pictures
That Mama shot for our daddy, so that he wouldn't forget you
He forgot anyway, but hey, one day he'll remember
If not, he's human, I'm human, you human, we'll forgive him
God gives him his ultimatum, can't see how Mama hates him
He's such a cool-ass guy, then wonder why she date him
I'm only eight, I'm not old enough, guess it's complicated
Two-parent dwellings, expellin' have got so underrated
I only say this in cadence so it don't get negated
I was gon' save it for later, "but later" look like "maybe"
This crazy lady named Ke$ha is guessin' my Mercedes
Would be all new and frou-frou, but it's a 1980s
But now that we are cool-cool, she sippin' Irish Baileys
She say, "Stacks, you’re true-blue?" I said, "Nah, I’m navy"
I call her "Keisha," she like it because it's hood to her
She call me "André 6000" because I'm good to her

17. Chris Brown – “Deuces (Remix)”

Album: N/A

Released: October 1, 2010

Producer: Kevin “K-MAC” McCall

The farewell email from a female
But I’m a playa, ain't gonna tell you all the details
What it entails is hard to say, like sellin' seashells
By the seashore, but she’s not a bore
But neither a whore who needs to know more
The kind you can’t ignore but want to open the door for
Or run in your favorite store, and leave with all them shopping bags and half of it ain't yours
I did things for her; ain't rich, ain't poor
I wanted to do more, but hell, I just ain't know her
Well enough to know if this is all she came for
But enough to know tonight excited she came four
Times to my cousin house to see if I was there
Get your minds out the gutter, man
We out here tryna have a good time
And here I am, all heavy with the words where
Somebody that's a nerd, likely fast forward
But, shit, they asked for it
It’s hard to throw up them deuces
‘Cause when you know it’s juicy
You start to sound like Confucius when makin' up excuses
Chase Cabooses until the track gone
I gotta find me a new locomotive, stop makin' sad songs

16. Future – “Benz Friendz”

Album: Honest

Released: April 22, 2014

Producer: Mr. DJ, Organized Noize

I told the girl I'm 'bout to sell the Porsche, I'm tired of it
She go and told these folks I'm goin' broke, a smile poured
From my lips, 'cause if I'm broke, it's only -hearted
Broken records from broken English, that's all it
Hol' up, and if I were, why?
Would you throw a party? (Can't have it)
Affection is so convenient when ballin'
Correction: These hoes don't mean it when fallin'
I guess that's why Lois can't be with Clark Kent
Fly on a nigga back while he Superman
But if I'm in a wheelchair, you still there?
Stop searchin' for words, I feel stupid, man
The shit is the Pittsburgh, I still care
White button downs and Emory scrubs
Had to write her birthday down because my memory sucks
But this shit comes back up like some acid reflux
Or a Michael Jackson jacket with some plastic zippers
I was zipping through the city and I'on't give a fuck
1994 Toyota Land Cruiser because
That bitch ain't never broke down on me
Why would I do that to her?
Simple-ism, symbolism, I'll pull up at a club
And might not never buy a new car again, if I can help it
'Cause if I buy one, they gon' sell ten, and what I'm left with?
Throw a nigga one on the strength, then we might could talk (Hey)
'Til then, I will ride my fuckin' bike, or walk—ehh

15. Erykah Badu – “Hello”

Album: But You Caint Use My Phone

Released: November 27, 2015

Producer: Erykah Badu, Zach Witness

Okay, challenge
Leave your phone unlocked and right side up
Walk out the room without throwin' your bitch off balance
It's either on or off, ain't no in between when it's valid
I seem to wanna talk more and more 'bout what really matters
I've seen my aura hop out my torso and hit her backwards
Flip, watchin' you skip down my corridor, fuck a ballad
Don't need shit on the side no more, all entreé, fuck a salad
I often have awesome thoughts of tossin' this softer palate
So when we fall any wall, any stall, any crawl, any pause
Any scar, any tar, any dark will dissolve, kill them all
Build-A-Bear, build them all, build it where it won't fall
Give it all, give it my all, yeah
Don't wear any drawers, any bra, anymore, in it raw, isn't it raw?
I'm in awe, I'm involved, common law, cummin' on stomach wall
Kermit frog jump off London fog
Bridges in the midst of callgirls my woman calls
Unicorn, you my porn

14. Lil Wayne – “Interlude”

Album: Tha Carter IV

Released: August 29, 2011

Producer: Willy Will

Today, I feel electric gray, I hope tomorrow neon black
I tell a nigga, "All those flows are borrowed"
It’s the pharaoh, Three Stacks
I woke up in Cairo, lookin’ at stars
So bright in the sky, I thought they were marbles
No car doors, whatcha call those?
A whole carload, of raw hoes
In a Jeep Defender
Please remember, don’t feed the Simba
Three’s assembled like nobody
He's a symbol of what's safari
Pulled her ponytail to my body
She’s the only girl that was smart e-nough
To call me 'Mr. Benjamin' in the middle of a wild party
Skin was cinnamon; I pound it harder
How come the only girls that are thought of
Are the light ones? Well tonight then
We gon’ do it, do it, do it for the dark ones
It’s important that you are more than
Welcome to Tha Carter IV and
Y’all enjoy it, I will go ‘head
And I’ll kiss y’all on y’all forehead, out

13. Lloyd – “I Want You (Remix)”

Album: Street Love

Released: March 13, 2007

Producer: Big Reese, Jasper Cameron

I said, "What time you get off?"
She said, "When you get me off"
I kinda laughed, but it turned into a cough
'Cause I swallowed down the wrong pipe
Whatever that mean—
You know, old people say it, so it sounds right
So I'm standing there embarrassed
If we were both in Paris
I would have grabbed her by the waist and kissed her, but
We in the middle of Whole Foods
And those fools ain't supposed to beef
But you'd think they hated tofu
Check-in line got rowdy; my vision got cloudy
I started seeing circles like some Audi—
Emblem; I'm hearing them say, "Come on, man
Do this own your own time—get the hell on, man"
I walked out, hm, I got 'bout...
Halfway to my car when I heard shawty shout:
"3000, forgot your credit card—smart move
By the way, my little sister loves your cartoon
Well, here's my name and num'
If I ain't the one, lose it; if I am, use it"
If a man chooses and he can do's it
And he don't, don't take it personal
He might be might be swamped
With making mozzarella—no, making worlds better
Cheese will come, believe me; I'm—
Never focused on the cash
Ask Mel Gibson, Jesus Christ, I'm 'bout the pass-ion

12. Rick Ross – “Sixteen”

Album: God Forgives, I Don’t

Released: July 30, 2012

Producer: J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League

Summer '88, or was it '89?
Or was it wintertime? Aw never mind
I'm in my room, booming
Drawin' LL Cool J album covers with Crayolas on construction paper
I'm tryna fuck my neighbor, I'm tryna hook my waves up
I'm tryna pull my grades up, to get them saddle lace ups
Before lil' Marc was Jacob, before them girls wore makeup
Before my voice would break up, before we'd tour them shake clubs
Before my mama wake up, before my crumbs would cake up
Before they tell me they love me and we'll never break up
Before the time she makes love to someone that I thought was my homeboy
But boy, was I wrong now
I don't budge, don't want much, just a roof and a porch
And a Porsche, and a horse and unfortunately but of course
An assortment of torches that scorches the skin
When they enter, intruders whose tutors did
A lousy job, how's he God if he lets Lucifer let loose on us?
That noose on us won't loosen up but loose enough to juice us up
Make us think we do so much and do it big
Like they don't let us win, I can't pretend
But I do admit, it feel good when the hood pseudo-celebrate
Hence, why every time we dine we eat until our belly aches
Then go grab the finest wine and drink it
Like we know which grape and which region it came from
As if we can name 'em; hint-hint—it ain't, um, Welch's
Hell just fell three thousand more degrees cooler
Y'all can't measure my worth
But when you try, you'll need a ruler made by all the Greek gods
Because the odds have always been stacked against me when back's against the wall
I feel right at home, y'all sitting right at home
All Kellygreen with envy while I'm jelly beans descending
Into the palm of a child, looks up at mama and smile
With such a devilish grin, like "Where the hell have you been?"
She's yelling, "Selling’s a sin," well, so is telling young men
That selling is a sin if you don’t offer new ways to win
A dolphin gon' shake his fin, regardless if he gets in
Or out of water, most important thing for him is to swim
And Flipper didn’t hold his nose, so why shall I hold my tongue?
I miss the days of old when one could hold his gal on his arm
And not set off these alarms, when camera’s snap-snap-snap
Return fire, pap-pap-pap pap pap-pap pap pap
They’ll learn why, mere privacy, so essential
They won't make no laws, I break their laws 'til they see out our window
I take the fall to make them all treat human kind more gentle
Forsake them all, I hate them all, don’t like em, don’t pretend to
Yeah something tells me, we ain’t in Kansas anymore
All that shit that used to be cool ain’t cool anymore
All the women we were pursuing, now they want more
And they deserve it all, don’t settle for what ain’t yours

11. Frank Ocean – “Pink Matter”

Album: Channel Orange

Released: June 8, 2012

Producer: Frank Ocean, Malay, Om’Mas Keith

Hey, hey
Since you been gone, I been having withdrawals
You were such a habit to call
I ain't myself at all, had to tell myself, "Naw
She better with some fella with a regular job"
I didn't wanna get her involved
By dinner Mr. Benjamin was sitting in awe
Hopped into my car; drove far
Far's too close and I remember my memory's no sharp
Butter knife, what a life, anyway
I'm building y'all a clock, stop, what am I, Hemingway?
She had the kind of body that would probably intimidate
Any of 'em that were un-southern, not me, cousin
If models are made for modelin'
Thick girls are made for cuddlin'
Switch worlds and we can huddle then
Who needs another friend? I need to hold your hand
You'd need no other man, we'd flee to other lands

10. Kanye West – “Life Of The Party”

Album: Donda

Released: November 14, 2021

Producer: Brian Miller, Fonzworth Bentley, Ojivolta, Federico Vindver, The Twilite Tone, BoogzDaBeast, Kanye West & Dem Jointz

Hey, Miss Donda
You run into my mama, please tell her I said, "Say something"
I'm startin' to believe ain't no such thing as Heaven's trumpets
No after-over, this is it, done
If there's a Heaven, you would think they'd let ya speak to your son
Maybe she has in the form of a baby's laugh
I heard passing by in a stroller remindin' me, "Hey, keep rolling"
I don't know, maybe she has with a prick of a blade of grass
I've been layin' on way too long, got me itchy
Got up and roamed a lil' more
Miss Donda, you see my mama, tell her I'm lost
You see, she'd always light a cigarette, we talk, I would cough
Exaggeratin' a lil' bit so she get the point
Tryna get her to stop smokin', I would leave and fire up a *****
'Til I quit, started back up again, twenty years later
All that time, y'all thought a ***** was high, thought I was crazy
My mom, she ain't cut no corners
Got me back on track, I don't miss her overstepping
But do miss her showin' Seven civilian life ****
Ah, Miss Donda, you see my mama, whisper her this:
The real reason I was geeked to go to church
Must confess, when y'all grown-ups would be in Bible study
That girl helping me with my homework? Her and I were ****
So pure and ****, so spirit spinning and dirty
So on, so on, and so on, we hoped that no one heard us
Sh-sh, ah, ah
And to this day, I think her mama knew but let us explore
Miss Donda, you see my father, please, ask him why he never married
Always smiled, but was he happy inside?
Because I carried my mother's name, did he carry shame with him?
I'm sure she did it out of spite, 'twas her decision at birth
Shit, she probably was hurt, ah, poor baby
Two young people with different views, a lot for a young lady
No coincidence, they both passed away from heart conditions
There's a dissidence at play, dad and mom do hard division
Three Thou', poster child for big **** **** raised by their mothers
I'm supposed to smile as if God knew that I would be troubled
Keeps me around, for what? I don't know
But I do know that it's crucial, that we do so, pronto
I don't know how much long though

9. DJ Unk – “Walk It Out (Remix)”

Album: Beat’n Down Yo Block!

Released: October 3, 2006

Producer: Unk

Walk it out like an usher
If you say real talk, I probably won't trust ya
If you want to go to war, the gun's my pleasure
Even Jesus had twelve disciples on the lever, trigger, whatever
Pyong, you don't want nan day of three thou'
I'm like jury duty, you're new to this part of town
Your white tee, well to me, look like a nightgown
Make your Momma proud, take that thing two sizes down
Then you'll look like the man that you are or what you could be
I can give a damn 'bout your car, but then I would be
If it was considered a classic before the drastic change
In production when cars were metal instead of plastic
Value, is what I'm talkin' 'bout, take two of these and walk it out
You'll be the reason they chalk it out, you can't be the king of the parking lot
Forever, not saying I'm the best but 'til they find something better
I am here, no fear, write me a letter, 'til then
I walk it out, I walk it out, I walk it out, I walk it out
I walk it out, I walk it out, I walk it out
I Westside walk it ow-out, I Westside walk it ow-out
I Westside walk it ow-out, then Eastside walk it ow-out

8. Rich Boy – “Throw Some D’s (Remix)”

Album: Rich Boy

Released: March 13, 2007

Producer: Lil Jon

Ain't a hood nigga, but a nigga from the hood
See, mama stayed on me so I turned out pretty good
But if you wanna try, sucker now then we can do it
Ha-ha, sleep, Tylenol PM if I pull it
Sh-sh-sheep, count 'em for the rest of ya life
Yeah, yeah your partner got away, but now he vegetable-like
So-so I sent his mom and dad a whole case of V8
He can die any second, how much longer it's 'gon take?
Go and get it over with, oh, what if you were in my loafers then?
You might be the dope, but I would flush it down the toilet
Like the boys in blue when they come through with them boots
And they kickin' down the door and they don't care who they shoot
But we do care who they shoot, so we do what we must do
So we act like we run track, then we run straight to the back
But they comin' from the back, so we run back to the front
They say get down on ya knees, we say, "What the fuck you want?"
They want cheese, they want bread, they want dough, they want mo'
Than I wanna give 'em, but if I keep talkin' they won't know
That my cousin in the back, and we call him Roto-Rooter
Slash plumber, cash runner and he fire on them computers, log out

7. Devin the Dude – “What a Job”

Album: Waitin’ to Inhale

Released: March 20, 2007

Producer: Devin the Dude

We work nights, we some vampires
Niggas gather 'round the beat like a campfire
Singing folk songs, but not no "Kumbaya my Lord"
You download it for free, we get charged back for it
I know you're saying, "they won't know, they won't miss it
Besides, I ain't a thief, they won't pay me a visit"
So if I come to your job, take your corn on the cob
And take a couple kernels off it that would be alright with you
(Hell no!) Yeah, exactamundo
But we just keep recording and it ain't to get no condo
And Candy Bentley fanny with no panties in Miami
And that cute lil' chick named Tammy that you took to the Grammys
See, we do it for that boy that graduated
That looked you in your eyes real tough and say "'preciate it"
And that he wouldn'ta made it if it wasn't for your CD number nine
And he's standing with his baby momma Kiki and she crying
Talkin' 'bout, that they used to get high to me in high school
And they used to make love to me in college
Then they told me 'bout they first date, listenin' to my tunes
And how he liked her fingernail polish
I say "Hate to cut you off but I gotta go
I wish you could tell me mo', but I'm off to the studio
Gotta write tonight"
"Hey, can you put us in your raps?" "I don't see why not"
Devin is the Dude, you gon' probably hear him talkin' 'bout–

6. Young Jeezy – “I Do”

Album: TM:103 Hustlerz Ambition

Released: January 10, 2012

Producer: M16

Nothing's more attractive than a heavy praying woman
To a him when those and them been defecating on me (ughh)
Her would sense the heaven, and him when Andre omen
Baby I’m hell, save me, don’t bail
Crazy I tell you all of this in the middle of a club
Where words tend to get thrown around lightly like like, like-like, love
"Friend," "rock star" and "So and so’s a genius"
So him vow to never utter him do unless him mean it
Her proud like her mother and ooohh momma’s sweet
So you just know that Juicy fruit ain't gon’ fall too far from tree
So if we ever woopty woop
I want all that bleepty bleep
On this nasty carpet Bixby fresh on one knee
Say I do I do I do I do I do
So we can float up outta here in this hot air balloon
Lets put a baby butterfly up in your lil’ cocoon
And maybe 2030 our baby, she’ll be nerdy make the whole club swoon

5. Frank Ocean – “Solo (Reprise)”

Album: Blonde

Released: August 20, 2016

Producer: Frank Ocean, Jon Brion, James Blake

So low that I can see under the skirt of an ant
So low that I don't get high no more
When I Geronimo, I just go, "Heh"
Solo, my cup is a rojo, my cholo, my friend
So low that I can admit
When I hear that another kid is shot by the popo
It ain't an event no more
So low that no more high horses, so hard to wear Polo
When I do, I cut the pony off
Now there's a hole where there once was a logo, how fitting
So low that I can give a fuck about what is trending
Tryna cut down on my spending
Regardless of winning, instead of pretending
And bending over backwards
Over half of these hoes had work done
Sayin' they want something real from a man
Just saying it, we being real persons
I hate that it's like this, I feel for you, ant
I don't know what it's like with a skirt on
So pardon me if I am being insensitive
But darling, this only worsens
So low my halo stay way low, it feels like it's bent
So low that when they throw pussy or pesos
Don't pay no attention to it
So low that I am no rookie, but feel like a kid
Lookin' at the other kids
With astonishment while I'm on punishment
Watchin' the summer come close to an end
After twenty years in, I'm so naive I was under the im—
'Pression that everyone wrote they own verses
It's comin' back different and, yeah, that shit hurts me
I'm hummin' and whistlin' to those not deserving
I've stumbled and lived every word, was I working just way too hard?

4. T.I. – “Sorry”

Album: Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head

Released: November 27, 2012

Producer: Jazze Pha, Sir Clef, Po Johns

What it ain't? What it is?
Even if you gotta live
I learned that apartment's way more exciting
Than a big-ass house on a hill
I used to be a way better writer and a rapper
When I used to want a black Karmann Ghia (Woo!)
Now a nigga speeding in a Porsche (Ahh)
Feeling like I'm going off a course (Ahh)
Cut these fuck niggas off
Negative in my life, scream that 'til I'm hoarse (Woo)
Duck these, get the fuck off me, projectiles
Bitch, he ain't really got a choice (Mmm)
I'm living my life live yours (Ahh)
I don't even like rapping fast (Ahh)
But that's how the world come to me
Talk to me sideways, nigga, that's your ass
Slow it down
This that shit that'll make you call your mama
Say, "Hey, I'm sorry for begging
For all them clothes you couldn't afford"
And this the type of shit that'll make you call your rap partner
And say, "I'm sorry I'm awkward, my fault for fuckin' up the tours"
I hated all the attention so I ran from it (I ran from it)
Fuck it if we did
But I hope we ain't lose no fans from it (No fans from it)
I'm a grown-ass kid, you know
I ain't never cared about no damn money
Why do we try so hard to be stars just to dodge comments?
And this that shit that'll make you call your baby mama
When you gone on half a pill
Don't know why, but that's how it is
Then you take a flight back to the crib
Y'all make love like college kids
And you say all the shit you gon' do better
We can try this shit again
'Round the time the dope wear off
You feel stupid, she feel lost
That's that dopamine, I mean dope—
I mean, you think Cupid done worn off
Waiting in the hallway with her arms crossed
Baby boy face full of applesauce
Maybe should have stayed but it ain't yo fault
Too much pressure, I peel off, I'm sorry
Was young and had to choose between you
And what the rest of the world might offer me
Shit, what would you do? (I was 21)
Well, I'd prob'ly do it differently if second the chance
Only if some cool-ass older man
Would've let me know in advance
There's this quarry that is dug so deep in a father's chest
When he feel that he's broken up his nest
And he figures, shit—he was just doing the best that he could
Which end up being the worst that he could
And all some pussy nigga on the Internet can say
Is, "That verse ain't good"

3. DJ Drama – “The Art of Storytellin’ Part 4”

Album: Gangsta Grillz: The Album

Released: December 4, 2007

Producer: Don Cannon

So I'm watchin' her fine ass, walk to my bedroom
And thought to myself "that's the shape of things to come"
She said, "Why in the club, you don't make it precipitate?
You know, make it rain when you can make it thunderstorm?"
I'm like, "Why?"
The world needs sun, the hood needs funds
There's a war goin' on and half the battle is guns
How dare I throw it on the floor
When people are poor
So I write like Edgar Allen to restore, got a cord
Umbilical attached to a place I can't afford
No landscaping, or window draping
This old lady told me, if I ain't got nothin' good, say nathan
That's why I don't talk much
I swear it don't cost much to pay attention to me
I tell like it is, then I tell it how it could be
The hood be
Requesting my services oh don't get nervous it's
Step yo game up time, these ain't them same old rhymes
Designed to have you dancin' in some club
Niggas ride to me, women be off in they tub
Ex-foliating with they poms-poms, yelling, "Go, 3000!"
I'm in my whatever bumpin' N.W.A, a hunnid miles and
Runnin' Runnin' Runnin' Runnin'
Summon, woman, come in
Sit down, heard you need some plumbin'
Done in, I'm in a swell mood
Or rather swole mood
Until she told me that she told dude
That she'll be back, she's going to the store
I didn't know she had a boyfriend, so the door
I pointed her to
I said, "Call me when y'all break up"
"I don't fuck nobody, bitch, and never owned a Jacob,"
Know what time it is
Nigga just tryin' to live like a nigga supposed to live
If I still drank that malt liquor, I'd pour the beer
On the ground for niggas not around;
I started off starvin', now they got me out here Brett Favre'n
Tryna' see if I still got it... (got it...)
I guess it's like a bike, think about it... (Uh uh oh no)

2. UGK – “International Players Anthem (I Choose You)”

Album: Underground Kingz

Released: June 6, 2007

Producer: DJ Paul, Juicy J

So, I typed a text to a girl I used to see
Saying that I chose this cutie pie with whom I wanna be
And I apologize if this message gets you down
Then I CC'ed every girl that I'd see-see 'round town
And hate to see y'all frown but I'd rather see her smilin'
Wetness all around me, true, but I'm no island
Peninsula maybe, it makes no sense, I know crazy
Give up all this pussy cat that's in my lap, no looking back
Spaceships don't come equipped with rearview mirrors
They dip as quick as they can, the atmosphere is now ripped
I'm so like a pimp, I'm glad it's night
So the light from the sun would not burn me on my bum
When I shoot the moon, high jump the broom
Like a preemie out the womb, my partner yelling, "Too soon!
Don't do it! Reconsider, read some liter-
Ature on the subject; you sure? Fuck it
You know we got your back like chiroprac-tic
If that bitch do you dirty, we'll wipe her ass out as in detergent
Now hurry, hurry, go on to the altar
I know you ain't a pimp, but pimp, remember what I taught ya:
Keep your heart, Three Stacks, keep your heart
Ayy, keep your heart, Three Stacks, keep your heart
Man, these girls is smart, Three Stacks, these girls is smart
Play your part, play your part"

1. Big Boi – “Royal Flush”

Album: N/A

Released: March 24, 2008

Producer: Jeron Ward, Rick Wallkk

Styles will change, they say change is dang–
Erous as a King standing on the terrace
While his partner pointing up at the riflemen
Coward shooter, never know when your life will end
Then live like there ain't no 'morrow
And if one come, then this the motto
Now I put message in bottle
You go to the nearest beach and open your car door
And walk to the place where the sea meets the land
Yeah, it's easier to run the street than walk in the sand
Hey, I'm talkin', young man, as if chalk in my hand
I will take y'all little ass to school
It's cool when the kids call me Sunny, the hood calls me Stacks
The B's call me honey, Hollywood calls me back
Crack and I have a lot in common
We both come up in the '80s and we keep that bass pumpin'
That's a negative comparison, embarrassin'
Unfortunate that if you come up fortunate
The streets consider you lame
Ha, I thought the name of the game was to have a better life
I guess it ain't, what a shame
I don't slang, never slung, but I'm one with the slum
That has a name well fitting, plenty cheese getting
No wonder why they call it the trap, so watch your tail
And I'm not kidding, the rats and mice would give advice
They say, "You can paint and draw, get out of here
Go show 'em that we're more than slangin' raw"
That's when I broke into my Big Rube impression
And I tried to enlighten, but that night I learned a lesson
That the morals that you think you got go out the window
When all the other kids are fresh and they got new Nintendo Wiis
And your child is down on her knees
Praying hard up to God for a Whopper with cheese
Do you B, hit the street hard with a flair?
Or do you A, go to school for heatin' and air?
Dare make an honest livin' or make a crooked killin'
Or do a bit of both until you're holdin' on a million?
Brilliant, you got one foot in, one foot out
You put your left foot back in and then you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey 'til you turn your life around
That's what it's all about, 3000 out
