Moneybagg Yo has been grinding for a minute. It’s been over a decade since the Memphis rapper dropped his mixtapes From Da Block 2 Da Booth and October 20th and since then he’s just been putting in the work.
Being signed to fellow Memphis grinder Yo Gotti’s record label, Collective Music Group (CMG), had helped to inspire Moneybagg’s work ethic – he puts out multiple mixtapes and albums each year – and this has been paying off for him, with his latest album A Gangsta’s Pain becoming his first chart-topper. With a unique blend of trapped out delivery and pained melodies, Moneybagg has cemented his position as one of the best rappers doing it right now as well as one of the best rappers from Memphis .
